Year 1 Royal Wedding
Year One took part in their own Royal Wedding yesterday. They performed a traditional wedding ceremony with our very own Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The beautiful Bridesmaids led the Bridal Party down the aisle, followed by the stunning Bride and her father. The ushers showed the guests to their seats and handed out the Order of Service booklets. Our Vicar conducted the service in a very professional manner and asked the Bride and Groom to say their vows in turn. The Best Man was on hand with the rings. The wedding was followed by all the usual traditions including drinks & canapés, the best man’s speech, the first dance and even a conga – we assume Harry and Meghan will do this at their wedding!
Our thanks go to Becky Lovatt who organised the words and outfit for our Vicar, Paperchain card shop who kindly donated the confetti and Sarah Broom Floral Design who made beautiful bouquets for the Bride and her Bridesmaids and a button hole for the groom.
We all had a wonderful afternoon and it was lovely to see the children take on their roles with such maturity and enthusiasm.
